CD Mastering includes signal processing to optimize song levels to commercial standards (radio airplay). It includes compression, normalization, spacing and resequencing of songs, E.Q., fades, and noise reduction to maximize the quality of your recording. It also includes a PQ subcoding and timesheet.
Arguably the most demanding step in the entire process, requiring the discipline and discretion to know when to add, when to take away, and when to leave well enough alone. Too much manipulation can destroy the great sound you've already created. Ignoring opportunities for fine tuning can leave a recording sounding weak or incomplete. Rarely does a poorly mastered project find itself received well by the listening public. It's the polish that makes your sound shine.
Utilizing our Sonic Foundry editing & mastering program, we can make your mix ready for radio airplay.
CD Duplication includes custom CD art printed on the CD (not a sticker label), jewel cases, cover art (provided by you) and shrink wrap if requested.
Please see our recording packages and rates for more information on CD duplication.
We will gladly transfer old tape reels, cassettes, records, etc. to a more current format (cassette, CD, or Mini Disc). While we're at it, we can also enhance the quality of the audio program to make it clear and more enjoyable.
We can...
Over the years, old records will collect enough scratches and debris that will completely ruin the original sound. Tapes made of family members from years ago, made with equipment that's no longer serviceable can deteriorate or lose quality. Recordings that for one reason or another lack the crisp quality to be clearly understood.
With the right tools, all of these problems can be addressed. Our software can eliminate most "pops" and scratches from your old albums. We can even enhance certain elements of a recorded conversation to make it more easily understood. This can be especially helpful to investigators, litigations, or any one that with the need to get the most clarity from a recording. Once we are done, you can have everything transferred to cassette, CD or Mini Disc.
