Before Recording

1. Know what songs you will be recording. Doing so will save you time in the studio. Make a list of the songs in the order you would like them to appear on the CD.
2. Know your songs. If at all possible, have your songs memorized. Doing so will allow you to sing with more feeling and excitement resulting in a better project.
3. If recording with soundtracks. Hilltop Recording will not record a project with pre-recorded tracks unless the artist(s) has released the tracks from the soundtrack company.
4. If we make your soundtracks. We will need a demo tape of your songs with your vocals. This can be done with just a guitar or piano or soundtrack, as long as we can hear the recording plainly. Most important of this is 1) The correct key, 2) The speed of the song.
5. Backup vocals. If we are providing backup vocals, we will need a copy of the words to each song.
6. Hilltop Recording does not take care of any royalties, this is the responsibility of the artist.
7. Day of Session. Come to the studio expecting to enjoy the day. We will do all that we can to make this a fun experience. We do not in any way pressure our clients because we too want this to be your best project ever.
